The Cisco Networking Academy at CCRI delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, and preparation for industry standard certifications.

CCNA Courses 1 through 4 of the Academy program is equivalent to 280 hours of instruction and the CCNA Security class is equivalent to 90 hours of instructions provide students with a basic foundation in networking and network security. Students who successfully complete these portions of the program should have the proficiency to pass the Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA and the CCNA Security industry certifications.

Three Levels of IT Certification

Cisco offers three levels of general IT certification: Associate (CCNA), Professional (CCNP), and Expert (CCIE representing the highest level of achievement).

Two-exam options for the CCNA Certification:

Option 1: Two certification exams, the 640-822 ICND1 and the 640-816 ICND2 examination

Option 2: One certification exam, the 640-802 CCNA examination
