Island Women in the Arts (RIWA) is an ongoing
project that is in its infancy. The objective is to provide a
comprehensive website for students, and eventually faculty, who
need information concerning women who have made significant
contributions to all the arts in this state. During the 2004 -
2005 academic year, RIWA will be available only to students
registered for Composition II for Liberal Arts, a course that
will focus its investigation and final research paper on some
aspect of women in the arts. The list of those named is not
meant to be exhaustive but representative of the diversity that
comprises Rhode Island's rich cultural history. |
