A Brief Introduction to
Microsoft Front Page

INTRODUCTION

This very brief tutorial is not designed to give you a complete understanding of how to use all the features of Microsoft Front Page. Instead it is intended to get you up and running quickly with a basic understanding of the commands used to create a web page.

INTENDED AUDIENCE

This text is designed to be used by those familiar with the basic use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications. You should be familiar with these terms and know how to perform associated actions:

  • Single and double clicking
  • Selecting text with the mouse
  • Drag and drop
  • Basic keyboarding
  • How to open a document
  • How to save a document
  • How to start (run) a program
  • How to use menu commands
  • Basic mouse movement

These assumptions are made:

  • You are using a current/correctly installed version of Windows. (95/98/ME/2000/XP)
  • You have Microsoft Front Page correctly installed

If you are unsure of how to perform any of these tasks you can refer to my forthcoming book It’s Obvious You Won’t Survive By Your Wits Alone1
