Rhode Test
Instructions:
1.
Select the player (or team) to go first.
2.
If
players wish to keep score, paper and pencil/pen are
needed. Remove cards from the box (shuffle, if desired)
and put cards in reach of both players (or teams).
Players (or teams) may decide to play for a
specific amount of time (ex: 30 minutes) A second way to
play is to give a select number of cards (ex: 25) to
each player (or team).
3.
The
first player (or team member) selects a card from the
pack, keeping the information on the card out of the
sight of the second player (or team member).
4.
Then,
the first player (or team member) reads aloud the
category at the top of the card (ex: Rhode
Island Cities & Towns) The other team should think
of RI cities & towns.
5.
Next,
the first player (or team member) reads aloud the first
clue (worth 4 points) to the second player (or
team (ex: Most affluent town in the state).
6.
The
second player (or team) guesses which city or town in
Rhode Island is the answer.
7.
If
the second player cannot guess correctly, the first
player reads a second clue (worth 3 points) – and so on
until all four clues have been read.
8.
Players (or teams) may keep a running score. Each clue
has a value to its right. Players (or teams) should
record the value of the last clue that “gave away” the
answer to the opposite player (or team).
9.
The
next card is read by the second player (or team member)
and the first player (or team) guesses when given the
clues.
10.
The
game is over when: the entire deck (or the selected
number) of cards has been used, or when the
pre-determined amount of time is over.
11.
The
winner is the player (or team) with the most points
(or the most cards won by that player/team). |
