Elementary French I FREN-1010-002 M-F 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. Knight Campus, Warwick
A course for the beginning student with little or no preparation: conversation, pronunciation, reading, writing, and grammar. The cultural aspect of French-speaking countries is also covered.
Basic Spoken German GERM-1000-001 M/W/Th 12:00-12:50 p.m. Knight Campus, Warwick
A one-semester course for beginners. Emphasis will be on correct pronunciation of basic vocabulary in everyday conversations. Dialogues for travel and other practical use will be learned. This introduction to German will prepare the student who has never studied German to use the language correctly within a limited context and to understand its basic structure.

Development of facility in reading and discussing German texts related to culture and literature. The course work is supplemented by further work in grammar, conversation, and composition.
