ABOUT ME

My name is Katie Shanley. I was born in Rhode Island and have lived here ever since. I am lucky enough to have most of my family live either in Rhode Island or close by. Growing up my sister Kerri and I fought all the time but now that we are older we get along great. Kerri was married about five years ago and had her first child two years ago. My niece Liren is a huge part of my life and I’m glad that I am able to spend as much time with her as I can. In the picture above Liren was just a few days old. She will be two on March 6^th. Liren was Minnie Mouse for her first Halloween. She wasn’t so sure about dressing up though.

My favorite sport is football. I like two different teams The Patriots and The Cowboys. I usually watch every game in the season. I got into watching football when I was a nanny for Charlie Weis who at the time was the offensive linemen coach for the New England Patriots. I do not have a favorite music group because I like all kinds of music.

This is my second time at The Community College of Rhode Island. I have an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development. After working in a daycare for more than a year I decided it wasn’t what I want to do forever. I am back at CCRI to become an X-Ray technician.
