Course Description
Understand the fundamentals of computer nomenclature, particularly with respect to
personal computer hardware and software and the World Wide Web; make use of the World Wide Web as a an integrated  learning tool; develop an  understanding of why computers are essential components in the business world and society. Become familiar with the Internet, Microsoft Office 2003, and WindowsXP. Get hands-on experience with these tools during lab class. Develop a basic understanding of the MS Office application software, use email and the Internet throughout the class.

On Campus Class Policies

  1. Class Attendance is mandatory.
  2. Points will be deducted from assignments handed in after the due date.   All assignments are due at the assigned  time. Assignments more than 1 week late will receive zero points. 
  3. Makeup  exams will be given during the next lab period and begin at a grade of 75.  Assignments being handed in on paper must have your Name, Class Section/or Meeting Time, Assignment and Date. 
  4. Homework assignments will be handed in during class, uploaded to WEBCT

    ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES, PAGERS etc ARE PERMITTED.
