Leadership/Professional Development

Required Goal #1 – Create a Program of Work to plan Chapter’s goals and Activities for the Year (POW required)

Required Goal #2 – Hold an Officer Retreat to train officers and plan chapter activities (Notes and Agenda required)

Select 2 –

3.   Have chapter member run for state or national office (Include name of candidate and campaign materials)

4.      Host a meet & Greet information session for students who attend classes at non-traditional times.  (Include copy of promotion

and attendee list)

5.      Attend a Collegiate Leadership Academy (include names of at least ten attendees and pictures from the conference.

6.      Host a leadership Seminar for your chapter and other school organizations and invite the student leaders to deliver workshops on leadership topics (include description of workshops, agenda and advisor initials)

 


Vocational Understanding

Required Goal #1  - Host a Business panel of at least three (3) local professionals to speak to your chapter (include contact information and notes)

2.      Engage at least three (3) members of the local business community in a mentorship program with your members.  Have members

share with the rest of the chapter insights and advice offered by the professionals (Include a short write-up from each student participant and advisor signature)

3.      Conduct an informational conference call with an NAB member & publish findings in a chapter handout/newsletter (Include a copy of the handout, contact information and advisor initials)

4.      Hold a practice competition for multiple chapters in your area (Include list of chapters attending and pictures from the event)

5.      Arrange a “field trip” to a local business facility for a tour and presentation about that company or industry (Include a business card or brochure from the company and attendee list)


Social Intelligence

Required Goal #1 –   Arrange and attend a meeting for chapter members to meet with a member of your school leadership team (Dean

Administrator, President, etc) to share chapter accomplishments and ask for support for upcoming events (Meeting Agenda and list of attendees)

Required Goal #2 –   Host a Delta Epsilon Chi networking and recruitment reception (Include a copy of the promotion and list of

attendees).

Select 2 –                    3.   Create and publish a chapter newsletter at least once each term (include a copy of each edition)

4.      Participate in a student organization fair on campus (include a coy of the handout/flyer distributed)

5.      Assist a college or university near you as they start a new chapter (attach new chapter office and advisor signature)

 

Civic Consciousness

Required Goal #1 –    Hold three (3) different chapter community service events during the year (include description of events and

advisor initials)

Select 2 –                    2. Assist in another organization or school’s community service event (include a description of the event,  names of at least 15

     chapter volunteers and coordinator signature)

3.      Hold an Advisor Appreciation event to recognize your advisors for their contribution to the chapter (include a copy of the invitation and pictures from the event)

4.      Invite a government representative to speak to the chapter (include contact information and advisor initials)

Recruit 10 Active Members in the Fall and the Spring Semesters

 

Public Relations

Develop Power Point Presentation – 5 minute & 10 minute for recruitment; Pictorial Presentation to play during activities

Develop a one-minute and a three-minute elevator speech

Develop an updated brochure and flyers for recruitment purchases
