Presidential Award Requirements

Campus Fairs

CCRI Student Government sponsors a Fair each semester. The intent is to welcome new students and provide an opportunity for student organizations to recruit new members. The CCRI Knight Leaders always participate in such activities to capitalize on the traffic generated.

October 25, 2006 - Harvest Fest

In addition to recruiting new members, we launched a month long raffle for a Harvest Basket, a month long food drive for the Providence Rescue Mission and sold painted pumpkins. To help with recruitment, we displayed a slide show highlighting the benefits of joining both the Delta Epsilon Chi and SkillsUSA National Student Organizations. We had pictures from ICDC in Dallas Texas. Some of us had our medals and awards on display as well.

February 14, 2007 – Spring Fling

Student Government sponsored event. We took advantage of the traffic and held a fundraiser. We raffled off a “Romantic Evening in Newport” (one-night hotel stay and dinner for two); a dozen red roses and sold Valentine’s Day trinkets.

November 2006 – Student Voice Forum

A group of students along with their faculty advisors sponsored a day encouraging students to express their views on a variety of national, local and college related issues. School sponsored student organizations were invited to attend, set up displays and participate in the activities of the day. We gave away pens and brochures.
