Leadership Development

 

 

In addition to the requirements outlined in the Passport Program we have completed the following activities.

 

 

October 2006

·        Elected Officers & Committee Chairs

·        Prepared descriptions of responsibilities/duties for officer positions

·        Several of our members also serve as Officers of the our local Student Government, they are:

o       Kristen J. Smith, President

o       Frank Sullo, Vice-President of Finance

o       Sarah Nichols, Vice-President of Academic Affairs

o       Jason Poethke, Vice-President of Public Relations

 

November 2006

·        11/16/06 Attend CCRI Student Leadership Seminar, sponsored by the Student Affairs Department at CCRI.  Sprague Mansion, Cranston, RI.  Members attending:  Timothy Seveney, Frank Sullo, Sarah Nichols, Kristen Smith, Alicia Hansen and Michael Goldman.

 

December 2006

·        Three members were selected to represent the entire College Community (encompassing 4 campuses) at the Rhode Island Leadership Council.  The Council is composed of 27 student leaders from 9 higher education institutions throughout the state.  Members:  Timothy Seveney, Kristen Smith and Frank Sullo

 

January 2007

·        Established a list of goals for committee chairs

·        Established criteria for attending and receiving Chapter financial support for ICDC

 

February 2007

·        Unanimously voted to support the Candidacy of Kristen J. Smith to run for National Office for SkillsUSA
