College Administration

President DiPasquale, Dean Yount and other college administrators look to the CCRI Knight Leaders to represent the student body at a variety of functions and to assist in logistical matters.

In August 2006, we called upon to assist telemarketing efforts to increase enrollments in fall classes.  We called to remind students who had registered for classes in the spring, to register in the fall semester.  We carried on conversations with students and/or their parents.  President DiPasquale later reported that fall enrollments exceeded the administration’s goals.  We were happy to be part of that.

In September 2006, CCRI hosted a special meeting of the Board of Governor’s for Higher Education at the Knight Campus.  We were asked to represent the student body and answer questions board members may have about “attending CCRI”.  We escorted members as they arrived to the dining room and then when they finished eating we escorted them to their meeting.  At the time, the elevators were being renovated and the administration was concerned that our guests would get lost following the maze of ramps and stairs.

President DiPasquale will be inaugurated on March 23, 2007 as the 4th President of CCRI.  He has asked the CCRI Knight Leaders and a few other student organizations to represent the study body at Inauguration activities the week ending 3/23/07.  We have ordered sufficient Delta Epsilon Chi blazers to wear during these events.  We want to increase our visibility on campus.

Dean Yount has asked us to lead the Knight campus efforts for our Day of Service on Tuesday 3/20/07.  We will be working with West Bay Community Action in Warwick, RI.

The Cooperative Education Office will be hosting its annual Job Fair on Wednesday, April 11, 2007.  We are scheduled to assist organizational representatives set up their booths and generally assist in the logistics for the day.
