Generating a PowerPoint Presentation
Starting to make your presentation and adding a background theme
YOU SHOULD SAVE YOUR PRESENTATION AFTER MAKING EACH NEW SLIDE!!!!!

10. Select Texture (Choose a texture that you would like to use as the background theme for your presentation. Note that if you choose a dark or highly patterned background that you will have to use a colored font for your audience to see the text. Additionally, if you are going to give your presentation in a room that is brightly lit, it might be difficult for your audience to read the text. However, there is a way around this problem that you professor can demonstrate.)
11. Select OK
12. Select Apply to All (all of your slides will now have this background)
Adding Text
1. Select Insert
2. Select Text Box
3. Drag open a text box (where you would like your text to be positioned on the slide. You can have multiple text boxes & images on one slide)
4. Type the text in the text box. You might want to use a font size of 30 for general text and 40 for headers. Additionally, use a font that is easy to read

12. To edit the size of the image, select Size
13. I recommend that you check the box Best scale for slide show (depending on the size and quality of the original image, this may or may not be and acceptable image – not fuzzy and blurry – for your presentation. This is a hit or miss kind thing.)
14. You may wish to add a box around you image to make it look “clean”. To do this, once again highlight the image, select Format, select Picture, select Colors and Lines, under the line section open the pull down box that says no line, select a color, adjust the style and weight of the line, and select Preview or OK.
