Detail description

Detail Photo

2” PVC with ½” holes on each end for the axel

8 magnets around the circumference of the PVC

4” PVC, again with ½” holes for axel

8 coils with PVC

Plan: The 4” PVC is stationary, while the 2” PVC with magnets rotates within

Majority of project completed

Aftermarket automobile fan with six panels of curved sheet metal on each fan blade

2” PVC placed inside of the 4” PVC

All that is left to attach is the 4” cap, then the fan itself

Completed project

Testing at the CCRI Warwick Campus

(Hard to see…2 wooden legs that are attached to the 4” PVC while horizontal)

Another picture of testing at the Warwick Campus

(Here is a clear shot of the wooden legs spoken of in the previous picture)

The multimeter reads 10.07 volts; however, our turbine maxed at 10.46 volts!
