First project.
This project we didn’t really modify. We followed the instructions to detail
and created the turbine that was instructed. |
First you need
Wood for the base and supports. Next you need a wooden axel screws, brackets,
Barings, a fan blade, water bottle cool aid can and tape, eight coils, eight
magnets, glue, and tape. |
Build your base
using the picture above and drill round holds in the coffee can and two
wooden supports for Barings and then glue Barings in holes( make sure they
are glued in straight!). Next wrap coils around the outside of cool aid can.
Your next step is to glue and tape magnets around the water bottle and also
trill who holes in the water bottle, on the top and bottom for the axel. |
Next insert the
wooden axel threw the water bottle and insert the water bottle into the cool
aid can( MAKE |
Last again make
sure everything is centered and your project is complete make you project
look a little better by painting it or covering it with colored paint. |
Our turbine cost
about 126 dollars based on information.
Turbine kits- $80
Wood- $15
Barings- $15

Conclusions
In conclusion
although we didn’t get the power we wanted to watched our turbine grow from a
little piece of smushed up materials that when it turned on it almost blew
apart to something we didn’t actually mind standing next to.
