Criteria 4 point or a "D" 6 points or a "C" 8 points or a "B" 10 points or a "A"
Content Student presented little/no science information or evidence, made many factual mistakes, &/or did not fully answer the assigned question. Student presented sufficient science information/evidence, but made some science mistakes &/or failed to answer all parts of question. Student presented most of the necessary & correct science information/evidence to fully answer the question, but did not elaborate. Student answered the question in its entirety & elaborated on the topic, including all of the necessary & correct science info/evidence to support statements made.
Organization & Layout Presentation was confusing because information was not organized in a logical sequence.  Student used little or no graphics & too much text. Presentation could have been organized better as it was a little hard to follow at times. Some graphics used, but they did not enhance or clarify the presentation sufficiently. Student presented information in a logical sequence that audience could follow.  Student's graphics relate to text . Good balance of text & graphics. Student presented information in a logical & interesting sequence that was easily followed.  Excellent balance text & graphics. Graphics supported text well & enhanced presentation greatly.
Spelling/Grammar, & References Student's presentation has four or more spelling errors &/or grammatical errors. Text is copied straight from copyrighted sources &/or no sources were given. Presentation has three misspellings &/or grammatical errors. Text mostly in someone else's words & only 1 source given. Presentation has no more than two misspellings &/or grammatical errors. Text mostly in student's own words & 2 sources given in mostly in correct format. Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors. Text clearly in student's own words & at least 3 sources in correct format.
Elocution Student mumbles, mispronounces terms, & speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear. Student reads all of report with no eye contact. Student's voice is low. Student mispronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation. Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report. Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation. Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes. Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation. Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.
Subject Knowledge Student does not have grasp of information & cannot answer questions about subject. Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only rudimentary questions. Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to elaborate. Student demonstrates full knowledge of topic by answering all class questions with complete explanations and elaboration.
