Course Overview


Course Description

This course focuses on theories and teaching techniques that foster the development of young children birth through eight. The role and value of play will be analyzed as the primary source of how young children learn. Principles and knowledge of child development will be integrated to allow the student the opportunity to identify a range of developmentally appropriate activities and materials in conjunction with understanding how to design and implement an appropriate curriculum in early care and education.
