Examinations: Four exams are scheduled. Any student who misses an exam will be able to make up the exam within one week of the date the student returns to class. If the student did not give prior notice before the exam, the grade on a make-up exam may be reduced by 20%.
Assignments: Assignments are to be submitted on the specified due date. Assignments received after the due date will be subject to a reduction in the grade of up to 30%. Assignments submitted 14 days after the due date will not be graded. This policy may be waived with the instructor's written approval.
It is important to remember to DO YOUR OWN WORK. Submitting someone else’s file is considered cheating. Students caught cheating will have their grades reduced and if the instructor believes the infraction is flagrant it may be considered grounds for possible dismissal from the course.
Grading: The value of the 4 Exams is equal to 40% of the total grade. Completing the Assignments, Exercises, and Quizzes in a timely manner will amount to 50% of the total grade. The value attributed to class attendance, participation and behavior will amount to 10% of the grade. I reserve the right to lower or raise grades based on subjective values such as attitude, class participation, preparation, and understanding of the material.
