Introduction to Literature (ENGL 1200)

Text: The Norton Introduction to Literature, 8^th edition. Bain, Beaty & Hunter

Students read, analyze and discuss assigned fiction, drama and poetry selections as works of art and as commentary on human experience. Essay tests are scheduled throughout the semester, and unannounced quizzes are given periodically to encourage interpretation and explication. There is a final exam.
